Upgrades

The materials and components on your guitar matter. Upgrading components on your instrument is one of the quickest ways to improve your tone.

Repairs

Broken solder joints, "scratchy" pots, fret wear, cracked saddle or nut, stripped screws and strap buttons.  These are just some of the repairs we perform at Volta Guitarworks.

About

I was 11 years old when I started working on guitars. I had just discovered a post-punk band from Wales called The Alarm.  They played  acoustic-electric guitars with humbuckers.  Their sound was unlike anything I heard before.  It was original and anthemic and I wanted my music to sound like that too!  So I gutted the $10 electric guitar I bought from a local punk band and stuck the electronics in my no-name acoustic guitar.  It worked!  Those were early days, but since then I've become a certified Guitar Repair Tech and I've performed setups, upgrades and repairs on hundreds of guitars and basses.
